The November Fabbulas Event in Philly
Hi All,
I really want to go to this November Fabbulas event, I've been clicking on the banner at the top of this forum for like a month now. I was wondering if anybody else is going or has anyone gone to this event before? I want to go but also want to bring my husband and son. Do people do that? Bring their spouse and kid? Can I use them as models? Or I could send them off for a day of male bonding in Philly... I would love to hear some inside scoop on this! Any advice would be great! I think it would be a huge jump start to learn everything I can about Face Painting!
Thanks!
Mary

Re: The November Fabbulas Event in Philly
Hi Mary,
To be really honest, I haven't signed up for FAABULAS as the schedule is not clear enough to me. I don't see any henna classes yet, and it is unclear what and when the morning/afternoon/evening classes are.
If I could see the breakdown of the different classes at their different times, I would be able to determine if I could go to all the classes that I wanted.
If that bit doesn't bother you, then I say that $200 + hotel isn't bad at all for a convention.
Talk to you later!

Yes, that's a shame not to see the actual times for the classes, it makes it hard to know if we should drive up on Friday, spend Friday and Saturday night in Philadelphia or save cash and just go early Sat. morning and stay through Sunday. I don't know what we will do, I just know I need all experience and classes I can get...
I thought the price was pretty decent so I really want to go. Keep me posted on your plans
What do you think about me bringing my family? Do people do that?

Hello,
The schedule of when the classes will be occurring and the list of classes that will be assigned to the different time slots can be found at http://www.madjackart.com/FabbulasSchedule.html.
A final schedule is in the works as we are continually adding more instructors and more classes; we want to make sure we have all the instructors and classes in place before releasing a final schedule.
Our goal with the schedule is to ensure there are classes available for each skill level at every time interval. Those classes that all skill levels will want to attend will be offered more than once so that everyone gets a chance to attend. If there is an instructor or class you want more time with, take a look at the pre and post offerings as these will give you a full session with that instructor and / or topic. http://www.madjackart.com/FabbulasPrePostClasses.html
We welcome all family members, my kids will be there and my 5 year old daughter will be attending some classes. There will be baby sitting provided for a small fee, please contact me to discuss the details at fabbulas@yahoo.com. Philadelphia is a great place to send your family members out for a day of bonding, there are a lot of tours and history as well as a the Philadelphia Zoo, the world renounced Philadelphia Art Museum where Rocky ran the stairs , the kids Please Touch Museum and the Franklin Institute as well as the Camden Aquarium. The hotel offers a swimming pool, athletic club and other amenities.
Just remember meals are included in your registration for Fabbulas, if your family would like to attend the classes, we welcome their registration, however if they do not want to attend classes you can purchase the meal plan separately, contact me for further details at fabbulas@yahoo.com.
