Hi from South Africa!

Hi everyone - I have been lurking and reading and watching and reading some more for some time now and just love this forum.  You are all so supportive of each other and it is just what everyone needs.

I am a mom of three girls and have only recently started face painting.  I love it, the youngest of the three enjoys being my model but the other two (teenagers) would prefer to be on the other side of the brush  

I am battling to "find my groove" trying to get party bookings - it is tough out there but I have faith that I will get there eventually.  I paint at markets where we also do a kiddies game stall so it is happening slowly but surely - at least I am handing out lots of cards.

There is a game of Face Paint Tag going on in TAG! You're It. This game tries to emulate those weird requests we all get that are out of our comfort zone. I will re-join the game of Tag once it gets a little quieter around my home.

(PS I grew up in a small desert gold mining town in California and it was named after a city in South Africa. We had a "Rand District" and an Oom Paul St too  )
