Focal Point Help!? Empty Focal Point Help!?

Post by tdaniellem Thu Jun 06, 2013 8:23 am

I know I should know this, but does anyone have any good ideas on how to determine and use facial focal points?

I'm new too but it always seems like the point between the eyebrows is a natural focal point.

I add some sparkles, dots or tear drops.depends on the design.the focal point is usually the eyes or mouth, but you can create a focal point also....the same way we use makeup to draw attention to an area of the face (a Smokey eye with nude lips), we can use face paint. I find gems and glitter also work best when applied similarly to facial piercings and Bindi dots.

Natural focal points of the face are the areas that tend to portrude-middle of forehead, tip of nose, cheeks and tip of chin.
If you are asking about how to draw the eye to a certain area of a design, use YELLOW. Yellow is the first color noticed by the human eye-especially a pure, lemon yellow.

Center of eyebrows, outside corner of eyes and chin. If all your lines point in one of those directions you should be pretty good. Smile
