Elven crown photo tutorial...
I hope my english is good enough to describe what i did. (Google is my friend) I used this picture as inspiration......
You can use silver but also copper or gold or any other metallic colour you like. You can also choose to combine gold and silver. Make it with a gemstone or without. Choose your own style. Take a good look at the original crown to see how the highlights and shades look like.
I started with superstar silver...
And for the gemstone i used PartyXplosion Princess and applied it with a spongemop.....
I started with the centre, painting the silver twists with a point with a 2 and 4 brush. After that i placed the gemstone in te center, carefully twisting it just a littlebit (to blend the colours a bit)....
After that i painted the side parts of the crown, making my own twists and curls. Just cross other parts of your crown.....
This was the easy part, now you have to shade the whole crown, starting with the crown itself. You have to thin a little bit of black paint with lots of water (i use the lid of a smal tray). Dry your brush and just pick up a littlebit of the paint with the tip of your brush. Test it on your hand to look at the colour. Don't make it too dark. Start painting the parts where te crownparts cross eachother. Then shade the dark part of your gemstone a littlebit and use a little white to give the gemstone a highlight.......
After shading every crossing you have to bring a little lighter shade on the forehead of your model right under the crown. You can make the black a bit more thin. You can also choose to make the shades on the forehead a bit more brown if you like.....
I did lightup the metalparts of the crown a bit with white. Specially the part above the gemstone. So it seems like there is light shining from above left.
I also tried to make the hanging twisted parts of the crown....
I really have to epilate my eyebrows, sorry for al the hairs
And here's a picture with make-up on. Looks a lot better.
You can make sparkles if you like bit you can also leave them out. Hope you enjoyed it and hopefully it is a usefull tutorial. You can also leave a comment if you have any tips for my tips for my spelling or description. Thanks.

This weekend a friend of me was going to a Arabic night concert from the Toppers (in the Netherlands) and she asked me to paint the elfen crown with a purple gemstone. And ofcourse i said YES!!! Great model and i'm quite satisfied with the result....
