Re: the art pens
I got both and prefer the long ones, too. They really don't get clogged as much. Mine did leak at the beginning, but, I used a little bit of plumber's teflon tape around the rim before I screwed the lid back on and it works perfectly.
I'm definitely still working on my skill set - but, I LOVE these. Thanks, Rosemary!

Re: the art pens
Can anyone point me towards some basics, tutorials, helpful hints, etc? I was moving when these hit so I feel left out and need to catch up.

do you mean the colored glue? Do you use these pens for free-hand glitter tattoos?
Re: the art pens
There is a group on Facebook called Glitterfest
There have been some videos uploaded there discussing the use and cleaning of these nail art pens.

Re: the art pens
Can you control the flow of the glue/paint by squeezing the tube/bottle? I'm afraid I don't know anything about these bottles either.

Re: the art pens
Yes pretty much. They have a very fine opening. and you just squeeze. the glue comes out pretty evenly. Unless you are like me and mess with it and it leaks from around the needle part. I heard it will re-seal itself. I havent tried it again yet.. The glue is sooo sticky. I hate getting it on my hands.
Re: the art pens
my new YBody glue pen, is clogged already, trying to clean it out with alcohol, does anyone have any good advice?
Re: the art pens
unfortunately that is the downside of these. Use it or it will clog. Rosemary made a video on how to unclog them... I will see if I I can find it...

Re: the art pens
Found one on amazon. Called Nailart pen empty. You can control the flow. At my first try on the short pen, the clue dripped out too much. Think because it was too full with clue. Now i filled the larger one a little bit over the half and it works great. Very fine lines without too much squeezing. I tried it with ybody pink glue. This glue is not so thick, so the flow is great.
Re: the art pens
I've got two of them, one filled by manufactorer and one by myself. I put in a whole bottle pink body glue and after a week I couldn't use it anymore, it was totally gooey and thick.
The pre filled pen works great though. I asked if I did something wrong but got the answer this is a known problem. The fully filled pens won't be sold anymore and they'll give you the advise only to use small amounts of glue.

Re: the art pens
Ok, ladies... late question. I guess the gist is to only put a small amt of glue in the pens(however much that is)? But, the retailers say not to store the glue in the pens/bottles. Already did- pen clogged/glue turned into brick! How quickly do you need to empty the pens/bottles and how do you clean them out? Pour in the alcohol? Could I have salvaged the pen w/ the dried up glue? Appreciate the help!
