Insurance for Apprentice Face Painters Empty Insurance for Apprentice Face Painters

I have a big event coming up in which I need to hire 2 additional face painters. I have insurance for myself, but the only option I've found through my insurance company is Single Event Coverage at $150ish per additional painter(too much for me!) I live in Michigan. I've heard there is a Casual Labor Rule/Law (?) in Michigan which doesn't require coverage for anyone hired & paid under $600. Does anyone have any ideas/information?
