So I had a wonderful moment with my two and 1/2 year old today the 1/2 she added BTW. She stated today we will catch a unicorn. and I could not help myself much to my families dismay added .... Did you know they poop glitter rainbows.... and because she is mine she states " and the colors are so beautiful and sparkle!!" I laughed an hugged her while everyone else acted aloof but I know my face painting family will get the humor behind this. I love you

Keep that child's dreamworld alive (and yours too) as she grows. There is nothing positive about aloofness! I know I just took this into a serious place, but I work with kids and I've seen lots of them have to dim their wonder to accommodate the adults (not just family members, but at schools, etc.). Keep the wonder - you two are wonderful!
