Hello from Alberta, Canada!
Hello all!
I have been a fan of this forum for months and have gained many helpful (brain saving) tips and have had many laughs reading all of your comments while on the side lines. I have finally bucked up the courage to join your ranks.
I am currently living in northern Alberta, Canada. I began face painting May of last year when I was a Girl Guide Leader. It was suggested at the time that the leaders and some of our older girls should take a face painting class so we could offer face painting at our annual Kid's Karnival. Like many of youwere I was HOOKED from the first brush stroke!! (My poor daughter/canvas)
I was soon asked to paint at birthday parties and other local events and without any local professional face painters I took to the internet in search of help. Thankfully I found this place and through this forum was able to locate a couple of Alberta painters who were able to fill me in on the cleaning procedures required for any face painting events.
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone on this forum!

Re: Hello from Alberta, Canada!
Thanks a lot Fesspenter!! Everyone seems so friendly on here, I'm glad I finally joined.
Shannon, I am not going to lie, I squealed like a little girl and did the happy dance when you messaged. I have been a huge fan of yours since I started researching face painting. My daughter, her best friend and I even drove to 2 hours to GP to watch your body paint demo at the opening of the Art Gallery. You are freaking amazing! Haha okay, now that my girl crush is out in the open.... I just moved from Fox Creek to High Prairie. I'm painting at a birthday party the night before but I am completely free on the 30th, what's up?

Re: Hello from Alberta, Canada!
Welcome Amy, I am in Calgary. I am glad you found your way to the forum. So many awesome people here.
Re: Hello from Alberta, Canada!
My uncle is in High Prairie (He's the Superintendent of Public Works for Big Lakes!)
It is a bit far of a drive, particularly if this weather sticks around. But I was looking for a sixth painter for a 5 hour gig (11-4 p.m.) in GP. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the rest of the information.
