I just sent out 20 postcards to local businesses. I've got one call so far, hoping for more! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Flyers in the mailbox? Empty Re: Flyers in the mailbox?

I'm thinking of doing it in my immediate neighborhood, with a small discount included, since the travel time would then be nil. But I'm going to hang them on doorknobs. I do believe it is not legal to put anything in anyone's mailbox.

As long as you do a good job of targeting, I think it is effective.

Unless you know the people how could you target effectively for hand delivery?

Postcards sent out to specific organizations or individuals work really well for me.

Yeah, it is illegal to open up someone else's mailbox. Not sure about the open newspaper boxes though? When I moved to a new state years ago, I sent out letters with a flyer to local churches and daycare centers. I didn't send out very many but I did get a daycare party gig out of the deal. Had to pay a little for stamps though of course. If you can get them into the hands of the right people it can definitely pay off!

I didn't know it was illegal.

Okay, then mailing to the organization is the way to go.

Thanks
