Chisel Brush Empty Chisel Brush

Post by CyndiLou Wed Feb 27, 2013 8:43 am

Hello, I am new to this and after watching videos and shopping for brushes I am confused about what people say when they say they are using a chisel brush. I don't seem to find anything listed as such at any stores. Can someone explain what kind of brush they mean? Thank you all so much!

I personally don't own a chisel brush but when I took Marcela's Murad class she used a chisel brush to to a butterfly and it seems so easy with this brush ! But I think u can find it in the face painting store maybe, or online not sure !! I want one also Smile

For face painting, a chisel brush is like a filbert brush, only denser....
I use both mark Reid's and Paradise's chisel brush.... LOVE THEM BOTH!!

Here is Mark Reid's (sold right her on the forum)

Please see below the link, that is the brush Brenda mentioned and is very similar to the Mark Reid's one for the exception that the paradise's bristle are longer and the the curve is wider. I really like this brush.

I second the paradise! Very nice brushes, I use them all the time, great for fat tear drops, the edges of butterflies and for filling in batman!! It is one of my go to brushes.

I have a paradise chisle I have never put to use... I tend to use LC 7000 # 2,4 & 6 an angle brush 1/2in and 3/4 in flat. Sadly these are the only brushes on the very many I have bought I find I need. So I keep multiples of each. I am starting to believe less is more., But hey I am newer at this.
