walk around face painter

has anyone done a event were you walk around and do face painting? looking for some ideas for a cart. Doing a pardade were we walk up and down the streets. Thanks for any help.

I read here that Nohelia uses a walker, not to paint from it, but she uses it as a table, walker support, and carrier at the same time.

I think this is a GREAT idea--If I lived in a tourist area I would totally do this!

This is something I was thinking of doing. Does anyone know where you find the city/county/state guidelines for this? I'm wondering if you would need something like a peddlers permit?... I think that's what they are?

I live in Anaheim California and theres so many tourist here...I would love to do this but wouldnt know what type of permit or license I would need. Guess I need to look that up looks like fun.

Each city should have a City Clerk's Office (at least in the US).  You should be able to contact them and they should be able to point you in the right direction for any City and State Guidelines and which agencies to direct your inquiries about permitting for street vending.

If outside the U.S., there should be some similar official/governmental branch that can get you started in the right direction for rules and regulations.

... as to carts in particular ... that depends on how much gear you want to drag along with you to perform your services. something as simple as a small tray that you carry that is slung from your neck as illustrated in the youtube video above by nancy!, to a simple push cart that has a nice small table surface, maybe an awning or umbrella, and can store water and folding chairs underneath, to maybe something a little larger that is toed around by bicycle/scooter, or even larger, that may require a truck with a ball hitch to adequately move for significant distances.

Oh that would be fun! If i had something like that i could hit up all the games that happen every weekend in the park across the street form me lol.

I am looking for the same thing, a mobile way to move through a crowd. There is one face painter who does that in this City. She has a sleeve brush-holder band, water slung in a pocket and paint pallet on a pallet. The video shows a great way to do this for a winter time event.

yeah i just paid for a vendor license-it does limit where you can go, but luckily you can choose the location.
great location for certain events as a facepainter means you will make that money back QUICK.

Go to your local court house License and permits, They would tell you what you would need.
