My sister is starting her face painting journey on Kauai, and while talking about making her web presence I started searching out competition in her area and came across this page. Upon further inspection I recognized some of the pics from elsewhere. Thought I'd share so you can all check to see if your work has been used without your permission.

Wow! They all look stolen. I can't put my finger on who they belong to, but I've seen them all before.

I've seen them all as well, especially the pink swirly one, I've seen that one recently!!

I texted Linda about hers. It's midnight her time so she'll probably see it tomorrow.

Yes, the Bling Mask is from my FB 2011 Album. I don't even have the original....

I PMed her on FB & will give her 24 hours before I report the page. I invited her to set up her page the right way, so well see....

I also notice that flower on the cheek as a 'professional' job. I believe I saw it on a make up site or something when I first started painting.

Not sure why they thought they could get away with that one.

My problem is I have thousands upon thousands of images on the internet... I only just found out how to Watermark & there's no way if bringing them all in, watermarking them & putting them back out.

Totally understand that Linda! I have quite a few pictures, I can go back and watermark all and lucky for me I just started putting my new images on the Internet so I had time to go back and replace them all.

It's good that we have such a great community that will notice our work and can immediately spot a fake.

I see ripped off pics on new painters, or companies like bounce houses that advertise face painting springing up all the time. I can name two not more than an hour and a half drive from me. A lot of the pics are images like book covers or widely see pics in the web. But if they are not mine, or someone I know then there is not much you can do. Most anyone with a book out save the Snazaroo books is going to tell them to stop using the images.

the way that I feel about people stupidly using some other artists picture is that they won't last a day. If they are too lazy to paint the design themselves....then the parents will definitely squawk when they see the poor quality that that of the photo. We all use ideas from others....but using someone else's photo is just unacceptable.
When I tried to look at the photos in question, it too reverted me right back to my own face book site.

I do all kinds of peoples designs, but I paint them are you all talking about someone using other painters own pictures? To display as if they painted it? wow.....how will she be able to paint a design that she has never done....is she using the pictures to get deposits?
