Why? Because the big-azz box of gems I was sorting did a header on my floor yesterday and I was picking up gems for 2 solid hours. I have thousands and thousands and thousands. And, FWIW, who ever thought that those little tiny, barely there, look like a speck of dust sitting on a clover gems were a good idea? They're so small, they're practically glitter.

This is a pretty hot sale. I used to buy boas by the dozen, but they don't sell them in bulk any more. Still, I buy so many things from them every year for our musicals and my costumes. I bought a big box of miscellaneous close-out flowers and it was SO FUN! Love love love the hair doo-dads.

I used brown boas for squirrel tails and lime green boas for Oompa Loompa hair. Brown stretch headbands to hold on squirrel ears, black sequined newsboy caps... anyway - me and HaloHeaven, we have a long long history together.

What size gems would be good, 6mm? Would 12mm be too big?

I don't think they would be too big. I bought the biggest size they had this time for maximum impact. Mine should arrive in the next day or so - though I don't know how long the sale will last... still at that price, order EVERY size, LOL. You can always sell what you don't use in the Swap Shop.

Just a tip... to pick them up easier... Stick a pair of panty hose over a vaccuum attachment... all of the gems will stick to that and then you can pull them off of there....

You know it was the big grey and purple box of jewels that I got from you... plus all my little packs that I was sorting into it... teeeeeeeeny tiny little jewels. THOUSANDS of them.

I just ordered $60+ from Halo...that's a lot of stuff at 60% off. OH MY GOSH! WHERE AM I GOING TO PUT IT!!!

My thoughts were upselling a face painting design with hair bows and such..we will see if it works! They will be good for my pictures for my website as well

If nothing else, that cutie in your avatar will look like a doll in those bows (love all the bows on that site!!)

Someone, I can't remember who, bought pretties from Halo Heaven as "presents" for those who tipped $5 or more. She advertised it on the sign and put all the items in a box for tippers to choose from.

You can use little gems to make GEM CLUSTERS, the little ones are the better to make a great design.
