New Year Face Painting Goals
So it is a custom in the states (and maybe around the world? I am learning to think more globally in these threads! Love it!) to make goals a the new year.
I have LOTS of goals and normally I fail on at least 1/2 of them---BUT this year my goal is to paint 100 faces for money and have at least 5 pay by hour events.
I know for many of you, that is a drop in the bucket, but for me that is huge!
SO--WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
Big or small lets hear your face painting goals!

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
Mine is to work to toward "Growing" my business also working toward being at my paying job half time, and my business half time. I may have to retrain for a new career as my job doesn't permit too much part time work. I may go back to school to become a travel consultant or something that allows more Face Painting / Entertainment Business time.
Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
my goal is to get into 1 or 2 restaurants, and 5 carnivals/festivals
Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
I want to get through the year... without anymore house repairs. Insurance adjuster called today to give me our claim number and the phone number of the restoration company to call to come and assess the damages...

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
I didn't make any resolutions as such but my goals are to grow more as a face painter and a craft artist.

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
2013 is the year that i'll pick up my facepainting !
I've subscribed for a couple of courses to learn more
I saw that nick wolfe is coming to the netherlands to give a course ( if nothing goes wrong with his brother offcourse ) but 150 euro is a little bit out of my price range so hopefully in 2014 haha

My business goal is to get two Kids Night restaurnat gigs so I make money DURING the week with face painting. Personal goal is to lose 20 lbs (not easy at my age and I like food!! lol)
Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
First I want to be healthy again and after that seriously pick up my facepainting!
Hope customers will find their way back to me again!

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
I'd LOVE to make enough $ to cover the cost of my kit.
2013 goal: to break even! (LOL maybe I should stop spending then)

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
I share the same goal as Tina and Rebons! And I to hope l!zzie gets healthy so she can continue to share her amazing art with us
Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
My face painting goal is to break out of the BOX I am in. I feel like I have reached a threshold- where I am good at what I do, but I have stopped learning as much/as fast. I want to get off this dang plateau and keep improving.
Goal: to do more practice. I work a lot, but pick up brushes only rarely at home.
Also, I want 10 off face paintings this year (canvas or mural)

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
* Finally take a workshop class at some point.
* Do a really nice cat/tiger mouth (I'm not good with those)
* Come up with a design of my own
* Do really good tattoo style roses.
* Build up my kit

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
I have a few... this year I WILL finally paint a full body.
I would also like to enter a body painting competition.
I want to meet lots of other artists this year
I want to refine my kit. And streamline my set up for bigger gigs.
Learn one stroke roses!
Keep all bookings and everything else in life more organised.
Stop sweating the small stuff, Keep Calm.
Remember all the things I love about painting!

Oooh, I'd love to see a Daizy bodypainting!!! I'm sure it'll be amazing and read all you!
One of my goals this year, and soon, is to require a contract and deposit for my bookings.
Do more face painting tutorials on YouTube.
To enter into each Face Paint Forum Challenge!
To paint as much as I can!
Happy New Year everyone!

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
My facepainting goal for this new year is to get more facepainting gigs than I get cake orders!! I would like to move away from my cake business and just do the facepainting. Last year I made about $6,000 with selling cakes, I made almost $3,000 with just 3 gigs this past summer, so I'm hoping to do less cakes and many more gigs! (then I can justify buying more paint, and start selling off the millions of cake pans, boards, pillars, etc I own lol)

Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
My goals for this year are
-- practice more. I want to do multiple full faces a day, plus the basics.
-- actually marketing. Starting with business cards and a website.
-- on a personal level, I'm hoping to have weight loss surgery. That's going to involve lots of changes, obviously.

yep, they were festivals.....they weren't SUPER large ones either (few thousand people) and I was charging $8 for masks and $4 for one eye/cheek art and I had a line non-stop (and I don't even paint that well)...go figure??
Re: New Year Face Painting Goals
