Pudgy Maxine Question
I was in Home Depot today, so I thought I’d take a look at the Fat Max. Very nice. I’m putting it on my "list."
Does anyone lay them down to transport? Does everything slide everywhere if you do? Is there any way to prevent that?

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I have nothing to say regarding the actual topic, but had to click on it because I had no idea what the title meant. Pudgy Maxine!

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
My "Maxine" has laid on her side and on her back in my van... and she has never complained.
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I generally have mine standing up, as i have a giant car.
But mine is pretty tightly packed with airbrush stuff. So i don't see an issue with laying it down
I don't use one for FP atm

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I have the new PlumpMaxine.
The entire top tool box comes off on it's own.
I have no need to lay the FatMax down.
My brushes remain upright and ready to go, as I keep my FatMax upright.

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Thanks everyone!
Miss Ronnie, you do have a long suffering Maxine don't you!?
I will make sure when I get one that it is like yours, Fesspenter. What level do you keep your brushes in that they are able to remain upright? and are they just in a jar?

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I keep my brushes in a clear rectangular box that has a grid in the bottom. It was designed to keep art markers displayed for use.
The brushes are upright and ready to use.
The brushes are in the very bottom level of my FatMax.
The top level has my paint inside. In hot weather, I take the top case inside restaurants with me, not leaving paint in a hot car.

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I got a PudgyMaxine yesterday.
And if the top section comes off, I can't figure it out...Fespender mentioned she has a newer one and hers comes off.
Do I have an 'old' one? or is it just that I can't figure it out?
Would appreciate any help.
Here are pictures of what this one looks like (pictures are from my cell phone and not very crisp):
I don't see anything in the little book that is attached about taking it off, so maybe the store just had an older model there
I saw a smaller "ShortMaxine" there that had a detachable top section, but it just looks way to small for putting all the supplies in. Wondering if I should take this back and hold out for a newer model...

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
That looks like mine and noting comes off, it is all attached, you can see it on the label.
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I have the mini max.. I'm just starting out and it has helped me get organized. It should do well for a while. The top box contains the things I use the most. There is a middle flatter compartment that is good for organizing glitter one strokes ect... What I would love to have is a directors chair and a mini folding tabble
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Why oh why can't we buy FatMaxes here? So unfair. My sewing box is a big enough size, but it's tiny indoor wheels are falling apart from dragging it across gravel driveways, lumpy fields etc.
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Fespenter sent me pictures of her new one next to her old one....WOW! what a difference. I am taking this one back and waiting until I can find the one she has! It looks so much sturdier and convenient. I hope she can post her pictures here because anyone looking for one would probably prefer it.
NewFace, I might be interested in the little one, but I don't want to spend $$ twice and have to get the big one later.
Kara, wish postage wasn't so awful to NZ, I'd send you this one! (My daughter's name is Kea, nicknamed Kiwi....and some day we are going to come see the kiwi AND the rascally Kea )

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I have the same one Valerie and I love it, it was an early Christmas gift! But now I am curious what the new one is like lol. Fesspenter would you post a pic of yours for all of us inquiring minds?
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Erica, I filled my FatMax with my stuff just to see how it fits inside...and 'dream on it' I love it, but I still think I will take it back and look for Fesspenter's, since I haven't used it.
I hope this didn't ruin your enthusiasm for your gift

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Nope, I like having it all together now. Didn't want to wait! Besides, even if I do end up liking the other one better my birthday is in February lol
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
I sure do like looking at all my stuff in their nice little spots in this FatMax.
Maybe your husband (?) needs a tool carrier if you find the other one by February

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Hmmm nice arguement! I will have to remember that and include it in my power point! hahaha
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
My Maxine fall on her front side from the back of my car to the ground (door was't looked when I reverse the car out of the Garage, well she survives and everything inside was perfect.
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Luz, that is amazing that everything was fine inside after your poor Maxine fell like that!!
Maggie, I was hoping Fespenter would post her pictures here too so everyone could see...the new one is so nice, anyone looking for an updated "Maxine" should be on the lookout for it.
I googled it and after about the 6th or 7th try I found this...this is NOT exactly like her new one, but as close as I could find (at least the front view.) Hers doesn't have the big Yellow plastic pulls on it...she had nicer silver metal pulls.

I see this one is from Lowe's (the one I just got was at Home Depot) so I think I will check Lowe's out next time I go into town..

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Hmm, does it still slide open? I like that the one I have slides open so I can see everything. It looks like this one has drawers instead...
Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Where oh where is Fesspenter???? .....
Erica, it does look a little like drawers in the pictures Fesspenter sent me, but they seem to both be able to be opened out at once...kinda sliding back like the "older model" does tho, so you can access them both, or just one.
I'm just not sure. I will PM her and see if she can post her pictures here...and maybe explain it better.

Re: Pudgy Maxine Question
Ha! Lisa - every time I clicked for a new picture in your Photobucket account, a big Hillshire Farms sausage ad would pop up.
I love this - it looks great - SO roomy! So, when you have your table set up - do you have your top container off? Or is it still there?
I've been using the Plano rolling case that I ordered from Menard's and I'm pretty happy with it. I can no longer carry all my stuff in it - but, that is because I have more stuff now. I have a separate Zombie Kit and I keep my sponges in a mesh bag hanging on the side...
