Bouce? Your brushes bounce?
I am used to sables and the Wilton brushes are between a sable and an taklon for firmness...

Hahahaha Shannon! They do bounce, they are the Mexican jumping brushes
I am used to painting with firmer brushes so this ones are too soft. I probably need to practice with them, you have to be very gentle and not push too hard on them otherwise "flop"

yes, some actually do! I have a set that bounces too, they are amazing for swirls, much more dense than sable. They also make a sound when you flick them... not so good for dots - when you push the point down, the bristles are to condensed to do an elegant plié, and they wil bow to one side ...making a teardrop instead.

I love the LC 7000 #4 and 6 are my go to brushes for face paintingKammy wrote:You've all got me intrigued, now! Is it the set with 5 rounds and 2 flats? If any of you have Loew Cornell 7000C brushes...how well do these compare?
Seriously considering ordering a set of those. What a great price, even over here in the uber-expensive UK!
Re: I just love this set of brushes! Does any have try this before?
These are the brushes I started with, being a cake decorator! I love them too, of course I used to buy artist brushes for cakes too....I constantly swap items back and forth cake items for facepainting and facepainting items that are great on cakes (I don't use them for both, but buy things intended for cakes and use them on faces and vice versa).
On a side note if anyone has to put those teeny little sugar pearls on a wedding cake, the "gem picker" tool sold in craft stores works amazingly well lol.
I love that stuff used in face painting doesn't have to necessarily be food grade (so used to checking for that with cake stuff), like stamps, stencils, etc. Nice to find "not so ordinary" stuff to use for other uses.
