So am i mentioned in another one of my posts. I have become a Member of Lotus Co-op Marketplace. Which is a local Market that is being built to help local small businesses get their foot in the retail world without having to pay outlandish storefront prices.

I'm a little excited
I am going to have a decent sized space, A scored one along the wall and i can be seen through the windows before people are all the way in

They are going to be open all week as well as on the weekends, But in an interesting twist, vendors don't have to be there all the time (they should as they'll prob sell more talking to the clients) because they have community cash registers that take payments for all goods bought in the market. Someone can just bring your goods to the cash and you get the money when you come back in. They don't take a cut, the space rentals cover any fees.

The Plan is to make some products of some sort, henna'd items, maybe some little glitter tattoo kits. something available for sale during the week while i am at my day job.
Then i can come in and paint during the weekends.. And i now have a spot to do individual clients who might want an appt..

I really hope it works out, i think it is a kewl little idea.
The only issue i see is that most of the vendors are all kind of from the same click, hippyish vegan types.. which is fine. But around here i found that although they are really nice people, it's clicky. I'm hoping that we can make it appealing to mainstream clients as well.

Oh and on that note.. As this is not a selling thing, i hope it's allowed.
The Lotus Co-op is in a contest to win some money to help get this thing branched out and build.. We are 4th and only the top 3 get any $$

I hope it goes great for you. We have a place like that here. But the face painter that tried doing it said it didn't go well.
But we have a really small red-neck town, lol!
