Where would I find the most Christmas/holiday jobs?

Hi All...

I'd like to promote myself heavily for some December work. Can anyone answer where might be the best place to market this? Is it corporate or private parties, town parties, firehouse parties? Thanks for any suggestions! Tina

My Christmas marketing is usually done in the summer with postcards to "the social club/party organizer" at all of the large companies and other organizations in town.

I advertise on Kijiji as well.

I have regular customers in the oil & gas and forestry industries that book every year. Weyerhaueser has me bring in a team of four for their party (worked up to 4 from just me to start with.)

I pick up new companies as employees from my regulars chance jobs and then they call to book me. Word of mouth is excellent too.

Predominantly it is the "family" events but this last year or so I am getting more interest and bookings for adult parties. too.

Thanks for the advice Shannon. I'm going to contact more big companies and my town also is a huge hub for medical, think I'll go there too.

I sent out postcards about 2 months ago to local social clubs, any agency that deals with children and all the recreation boards of local communities. I have gotten 3 jobs from them so far. I also will be placing an ad in a special holiday edition of a local mom's magazine promoting winter birthdays and holiday parties. I marched in a Halloween parade with my banner and a bunch of painted kids.

what is a firehouse party? never heard of it

Big churches maybe? There are a few megachurches around here that have HUGE memberships - they might have parties for their kids.
