OMG --Barff.. i scored a FP gig this weekend O.o

So i have been doing this type of event for years.. but NOT as a face painter.
I'm freaking out a little bit. I have been practicing, i'm still not very good, haven't practiced much on humans, and haven't practiced at all on tiny wiggling humans

Not to mention i have no designs :/ will have to rig up some wax papers tonight i think

Is it going to be a large event? What do you usually do there?

It's a small craft show in a college. It shouldn't be too bad.
I usually do airbrush tattoos and henna for the most part. The face painting is a new addition.

Thats great Sinaz! Just practice your butterflies, flowers, spiderman and batman lol most kids can be persuaded to get one of those and they usually don't know what they want when they sit in your chair :p

Congrats on the score! You'll do great I'm sure!! Every gig after this will feel easier because you'll have done it before. A craft show is actually a good first gig as at least in my experience, they aren't that crazy busy as far as kids go. Good luck!!!

I've decided to go the "today's choices" route
I was painting and practicing last night and have 10 designs that they get to choose from.. mostly mask type designs. I'm not ready for full faces in public yet

I'll post them up later.

There is this cute little dog i found that doesn't require painting the whole face, but seems like a full face design.

I know i need a butterfly, but i'll be damned if i can pull one off. My issue is sponging down the base properly i think..
I even have a rainbow cake and what a mess i make hehe

So my BF kicks butt a little bit..
he was out on a mission at staples and i asked him to look for some black poster board type stuff for me to put my wax paper faces on for sat.

He found something..
On top of that we just scored a vinyl cutter for dirt..

Wow! I love the board! I can't find black folding boards like that anywhere...

lol your cat seems to be evaluating. This may be a silly question.. but do you use Face paint on the wax paper.

Yeah i was just using my face paint..
I'm going to spray them with the spray that is used to protect drawings.
Hopefully they hold up

Now hopefully i can do those on little humans lol

I remember my first gig...oh man....I wore Depends that day. Thank goodness it wasn;t too busy. But great experience.
You already have the dealing with the public thing down...which to me was my scariest part.
