Wonder Pallet Container
Hi everyone,
a little while back while searching brands and paints I vaguly recall a site selling powder pallets in those "wonder pallet" containers that silly farm uses.
The site also had the same container but larger( prefilled )... i can't for the life of me find the site... but I think you know the plastic white pallet I'm talking about.
Does anyone know where to get these paint containers?
I'm wanting to get the larger ones... I think it had 7 large circles.
Please let me know if you've found them on your journey.
thanks

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
I really love the wonder pallet. I just got mine and it's WONDERFUL for a beginner! You can find it on the silly farm site here midway down the page;
http://www.sillyfarm.com/sfexclusives.html
When I ordered mine last month they must have been out of the regular container as it came in the 13 hole caddy. I just filled up the empty ones with my own split cakes today that I made with some snaz paints which was so super easy! (you can order the 13 hole caddy empty too under "kit accessories" I believe.
Hope that helps and happy painting!

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
I believe the do sell them empty as well, but they are hard to find.
The 13 hole is middle of the page. http://sillyfarm.com/kitaccesories.html
I couldn't find the smaller one.

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
humm... i'm looking for the larger one that only has 7 circles... it looks like it would hold 7 whole snaz cakes perfectly. each circle being like 3 inches in diameter
I thought I had bookmarked it but now i cant find it.
okay thanks. I'll do some more searches... I can't seem to think of what else to call them...

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
Are you sure it's not the jumbo palette on this page? (scroll down to the bottom) you can get those empty too for $10 each.

The wonder palette is small. The tiny small snaz cakes do fit in them. They are definitely not snaz paints though that come in the wonder palette itself.

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
The one I saw was just like the 13 circles one but it has 7 and individual tops for each.
humm that would work too but that doesnt have a cover .... does it??

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
I am not sure if the snaz palettes have lids. I would assume so, but does anyone know for sure? (I would like to get a couple for my ever expanding collection of split cakes..)

The Snaz Jumbo palette has a clear plastic fitted lid... They are all I use.

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
Shannon - Do you happen to have any tips on keeping them in the individual containers??? I like to keep them separated, but some of my containers are "crinkling / crackling / crumbling" around the edges. I just thought if I moved them over to something else it would help so I dont have to pick blue crumbles out of my paint.
and no - I didnt drop the paint... i'm assuming that it's wearing away at the blue container it's in.

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
You mean the individual pots that the Snaz comes in? They always break... the older blue ones that the regular paint comes in particularly. It isn't the paint "eating it" it is just crappy plastic.
I've always used the jumbo palettes... since I got my first batch of Snaz and discovered what the bloody pain in the a** it was to take off 24+ lids every time I set up!!
The Jumbo Palettes can crack and chip on the corners but I take VERY good care of mine and am still using my original ones (8 years and counting.)

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
Hennavixen,
First I have to say I love your day of the dead face. I second Shannon's recommendation of the Snaz pallets. They are nice and big and easy to clean. If you use something small, you'll just end up refilling it constantly.

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
I prefer the small containers for the non primary colors I use: uv's, metalics, etc. I do not want to have half used container for years to come. It's a sanitary thing for me. I actually throw away my mascara every three months also.
I have only refilled my small pots/kit three times this year. No big deal, really. I feel I should be doing frequent cleanings of the entire kit anyway.
I have the snaz kits, big and small. Unfortunitly, I do not like to sit while I paint, so the big kit does not work well for me. The small starter kit, I cut the circle where the sponge was located out and slip it on my thumb. The bigger pots I have moved to individual containers until I can find that perfect pallet which will allow me to hold all of them and stand up an the same time.
Try both and see what works for you. It is an individual preference thing.

Re: Wonder Pallet Container
Glad you found what you were looking for.
You probably first saw them on my site http://www.wemakefaces.com/shopshimmerpowders.html
Each compartment can hold 30ml+ (or 30 grams+, more than 1 full ounce) of product. And the trays are stackable.
