Re: Beautiful pics from the photoshoot
Wow you guys!
Thank you so so much for all your beautiful comments
I've just been contacted by Andrea O'donnel (www.babodyart.com) who's sending her top picks to the Illusion folks and let me know that I'm in it
Furthermore she's now kinda a personal sponsor of bad a$$ stencils for my bodypaints: only catch is I have to keep making awesome designs and send the pictures to her
So next week I should receive some brand new bad a$$ stencils to try out! Yay!

PaintedFaces wrote:Beautiful beautiful beautiful. How long did that take you? I am always curious about other people's painting times
It took me 3-4 hours and the model was a real trooper 'cause it was freezing in the studio! At one point we had to move the lace details to the restroom because it was warmer in there
I used Loew Cornell round number 4 for the details (lace, roses, outlines) and a 3/4" flat brush for the black base. Just used a smaller flat brush for the roses.
1. I started of by outlining the design
2. Then the red base for all the roses
3. Leaves
4. Outline roses and then add black base for the entire design
5. Details on roses and leaves - highlights
6. Strings front and back
7. Badassstencil (can't remember the number) using a sponge and a mix of snazaroo silver and dark grey
8. Finally lace details and shadows
The mask I started basing using the same silver/grey mix. Then adding stencil with black and finally adding the laces.
For the lace details I always finish with a damp flat brush dragging the colour from the base of the laces and out. This gives it a nice and more realistic look.
Hope this was helpful
