Your Business Name?

I still havent decided on a name having a hard time choosing one a really like I thought of tete-a-tete wich means face to face also but people wont know how to pronounce it!!!

do you think In-yo-Face! face paint is too agressive?

Taradoodles was something the kids teased me with in high school. I liked to draw and color but they didnt see it as 'art' because all I drew were cartoons. They called it doodling so it just stuck. In college I made the logo to go with it and stashed it incase I ever needed it. I pulled it out this year and started trying to make a business out of it. Even if I expand to glitter tattoos (which I want to but need to focus on FP fist) I think the name will be fine. Thats how I got mine.

Mine just hit me the other day, My name is Tia and I was thinking of parties... and then thought of ParTIA. I was chatting with family and we brainstormed the slogan, if you will. ParTIA: It's a party-- only better! I plan on offering party packages, with options such as homemade cake, theme, decorations and handmade games, plus of course face painting. My day job is planning activities for seniors so I have a lot of creativity to draw form that. I can't wait to get started! My only concern is will people think they have to have a party package or will they know that they can have just one of the services. I guess its all about advertising it correctly.

My mom and I were talking about how I keep changing my mind about my business name, so she was like, "You're such a rebel". I told her I was going to spite her and call my business that..Rebel Studios, "because we do things different!". She said she actually liked that name so I went with it. I do portraits and culinary arts too, so it fits everything artistic i do. Rebel Studios was taken, so I threw my artist nickname in there "Sky" to make Rebel Sky Studios. I researched the name and got the web address and website done too

Like Shannon, nothing beats using your own name...but in my case, my hubby's name is Ariel. Way back when at our engagement party, my aunt showed up with a gift and had the mc announce 'congratulations to Tamariel Campbell.' My family latched onto it.

And it stuck.

And if you can't beat em, join em! At least my name comes first!

I just recently switched from Angel Faces to Cincinnati Face Painters. Reason was solely because I couldn't obtain www.angelfaces.com.

I spent hours coming up with names and trying to get the url for them. Cincinnatifacepainters.com and cincifacepainters.com were both availible, and I just picked the first. There are two of us, so it's plural, although it does feel alittle greedy because I live in the cincinnati area not cinci. My town doesn't have the highest reputation, so I didn't want to use that name.

I wanted something that started with an "A" so it would be near the top if listed alphebetically and did a domain search. Being a Mom was a no brainer, so I am A Face Painting Mom. Still trying to get good pictures at an event so that I have something to put on my website. My husband got too busy line managing to take any at my first event, but hope I to get some good ones at the next one in two weeks.
