Re: All the world's a stage
cool--do you know they say Break a Leg instead of Goodluck?
Back in the day the poor people would go to the theater and stand right at the foot of the stage-(the stage was at chin level)--the actors wanted to perform so well the poor people would drool because of the great performance and wet the stage with their drool and tears making the actors fall and break a leg--pretty gross if you ask me.
Also--there is an intermission during plays because when gas lights were used as floor lights, they would only last about an hour before they had to be refilled--so after about an hour into the show, they would stop the show and refill the lights with gas.
Anyway.....
This is a really cool piece. I love the curtains! great idea.
His right shoulder shadowing looks great--

And the term "Ham" actor was from the old makeup- Grease paint was applied/ mixed with bacon fat, and very heavy and exagerrated.... HAM actor

Re: All the world's a stage
Yes- a book which is really to act as a catalog/ sales piece for a gallery show. The book is called "What's Inside" as is the series. The models will have a 3 page spread. First page will sort of be a larg image, and introduce the painting in terms of what it was intended to mean.... then the following two pagr spread will be various images with comments from the artist, poems, little bits and pieces...
BUT, the book will be available independantly as well- basically going to sell it at cost to use as a promotional piece for print sales.
Shooting for Late October early November- but hit a slow down now- we'll see how it goes.

If you click that, it will access a PDF file on my site. A VERY VERY rouch example of the proposed layout.
