my new favorite design and color!
I found this design online somewhere and had to try it. Such a simple idea, but so much bang. So if this was your design, thanks for the inspiration, it really is my most favorite. I also got my new fab paint and loooovvvvve it, ziva blue shimmer and magenta shimmer. They are beautiful. Here are a couple more faces I tried today. I do not know if this is a real super hero but it was another one in my inspiration folder I wanted to try. My camera stopped working right before I did these so I had to use my sons cheap one, sorry the colors and quality is not great and the date is wayyy off.
Re: my new favorite design and color!
Beautiful. Love the color in the first design and really like the unique design of the second pic.
Re: my new favorite design and color!
I saw the second design somewhere online, so it isn't my original design. But it is pretty fast.
Re: my new favorite design and color!
Miahna what type of white is that on the third pic its part of the base. Im assuming its a fab I just wonder if its white glitter, or white shimmer. Let me know if im way off on the actual color names.

Love the designs! Also love your practice head, it's beautiful. Where did you get it? Does it stain easily? Thanks! Tina
Re: my new favorite design and color!
Tina, I just got the head 2 days ago from a beauty school close by. I am selling some in the swap shop for $10. I did 3 different faces and they came off pretty good with just a makeup wipe. The darker black didn't come off completely so I used non acetone fingernail polish remover that I had and it took it off. I am really careful around the eyebrows and eyes cause on one of the ones I was cleaning, it actually took those off too.
I don't have any of my exact practice head, but some other nice ones. I had to keep this one cause she had eyelashes and multicolored hair
She is also darker skinned then the others which I thought would be good because of staining, but my kids did a couple faces on the others and they were the same at clean up.

one more note, I did paint the face, then took a couple pictures and then took the paint off. The longest any paint was on was maybe 35 min or so....so I don't know how easily it would come off if it was left on a really long time.
Re: my new favorite design and color!
Not that it matters much because they are much different from the originals but the top one looks like a Christina Davison and then number 3 looks like Dawnie/Squiggles Carnival mask. Good work.
Re: my new favorite design and color!
ya, Denise, not sure where I found the first one, but definately I did not come up with it myself, just something in my inspiration folder I had to try. The last one though I was just trying my new paint and did swirls and teardrops but you know how a lot of those look similar. The middle one is someone elses design also that I was trying. They used a big jewell in the middle of the head but I tried just painting it.
I would have to admit that I am not great and coming up with my own designs, I wish I was
(sorry I did mention all the same info on the original post, but I know sometimes we just look at the pics and don't read all the words. But I really don't want anyone thinking I am claiming those designs as my own)

You ought to check out Christina Davison's other designs...especially her animals. She also got a couple of classes on FABAtv, when you've got an extra $30 you should sign up for a month and make sure you catch Christina's, Pashur, Mark Reid, Wolfe Brothers...oMGoodness, there are a LOT of good FABAtv classes now. Even if you cancel after a month it would be worth it.
Christina's website is Amadazzle...or at least you can search that term.

Re: my new favorite design and color!
Oh I actully have fabatv, just renewed for a second year membership last month or so... I have seen her animals, she is so good! In fact when I first started painting I found her website and was just in awe of her designs especially the horse one she does using half the face and eye. I do love faba tv, without it, I would be lost. I liked Pashurs faba class so much that I went searching for one to go to. We don't get very many here in Washington which is why I did the faba, but so excited he is coming close enough that I can go.
On a side note, your tutorials are great too, thanks for being willing to share. Without all the tutorials and the face paint forum, it would have been very difficult for me to learn to paint and it is so addicting...

I love FABAtv too. I usually wait for a bit for the classes to build up and then re-subscribe. I've been to two conventions and two classes (from Pashur) and I LOVE that it's so up close and they can get through a lot of designs because there are no interruptions.
