I need some help deciding which 1 stroke cake will be the next in my collection.

I would like a blue one so am trying to work out which I will get more use out of between the Dolphin (purple/dark blue/light blue/white) or Ocean (Dark blue/teal/light blue/white).

Does anyone have one or both of these that can share what designs they make with them or any suggestions as to how versatile these cakes are?

Thanks Smile

I would say that the ocean is more versatile because you can use it for boys and girls. I tended not to use my purple at all on dolphin so it was a waste of paint. It would also make better sharks, but I used magpie for sharks now.

I agree with Denise. I have the Dolphin cake and don't really like the purple. I think I'm going to cut it out of my cake and try and replace it with a very dark blue.

I'm still perfecting my dolphin too. I have the hardest time getting the nose to look right. Ugh! Thankfully, i haven't gotten too many requests, but do need to get it on my board because it is a money maker, same with the dreaded unicorn.

I use the TAG Dolphin all the time for my dolphins and I like the way the purple blends in very nicely... it adds dimensions to the body.
I use TAG Ocean for waves on different designs, including one of my dolphin designs... I also use it for water for my flamingo designs and other such things. Love Ocean.

I'm afraid I won't be much help - unless you can get both Very Happy
I LOVE both of those split cakes and use them for everything!
Both make gorgeous butterflies and roses
Ocean makes good snakes and quick outside edges for blue monster masks
Both are good for princess crowns - onestroke style and dauber gems
Both are good for the one-stroke pussycats
Both good for Unicorn manes
and of course Dolphin is great for dolphins, and ocean is great for waves Smile
They are probably 2 of the most used split-cakes in my kit
not much help with choosing am I Laughing
