Spider Woman??

Hi, is anyone familiar with "Spider Woman"? I found a comic today and there she was...who is she, where does she come from and why have I not heard of her until now? She has a mask but no web on it...hmmm...

Has anyone painted her as a superhero for girls?

kids right now would not be familiar with her at all, she isn't used anymore. Most of the time, if the girls want a female version of a Spider-Man design, they just want it to be pink or something (blasphemy!!)

When my DAUGHTER was two she was facinated by everything spider man. She faught with when last Halloween came around she would settle for nothing less than spiderman. Well spiderman lasted for about a year now she is into hulk! Geez what's up with my daughter and Super Hero's if you ask her she is The She hulk. Anywho the woman spider was popuplar ones apon a time.

Funny you should say that, Perry. I had an 18 year old senior high school football player in my chair Sunday at a festival - quite a tall, muscular young man - who wanted a spiderman to match his hot pink shirt! He even wanted me to extend it right up into his hair. I have to say, he totally rocked the look. I love it when people don't have any inhibitions!!!

I think there is a female version of almost every superhero. Tons of little girls want spiderman and batman etc, so I give them girly versions. I really think spider woman is cool (by the google images anyway).

Yeah.... Spider woman bit the bullet a while ago.
