Student, designer and face painter here! :)

I'm from the Binghamton area but I am in college at Purchase College School of Art+Design for graphic design. I have wanted to do face painting for a while and finally started a business in May. I have done 6 fairs and have one more to go on the 9th-11th before I head back to school.

This weekend I did an event and guess who was there? Miss Ronnie it was actually a strange occurrence because there were 4 face painters! Myself, Miss Ronnie, a paid face painter hired for the event, and someone using craft paint (bleh).

Can't wait to chat and share info with all of you!

how nice for you to meet Miss Ronnie! Sounds like you guys were busy. I was painting at a street market and had a lady from Australia come over and introduce herself as a fellow face painter...its nice to meet people out there and share some experiences. Enjoy the forum, and welcome.

Welcome Melissa! Ronnie told me about that event..you made her feel like a celebrity lol! You will find a lot in common with the ladies here on the forum, myself included. A LOT of us are designers, fine artists, crafters, etc, and face painting is another way to let out the creativity. Good luck with school, have a BA in graphic design myself, and good luck with the business afterwards. You'll do awesome! Ask away if you have any questions, or just search the forum..chances are, there is a thread for ALL of your questions already:)

I was the paid FP at the event and there were actually at least 6 painters there! It was crazy! At least there was a HUGE crowd everyday!
