Hey guys, I'm in Ontario, Canada and I just can't muster up the $14 shipping from Silly Farm for Starblends... I'm looking for white, red, and black.

Thanks in advance!

The FacePaintForum has Starblends. I have it shipped to my Aunt's home in Detroit. The shipping is usually $6.

But I don't have an Aunt in Detroit Sad

And the shipping to Ontario from the FPF is even crazier lol

My mom brings it back to Ontario when she comes back from a visit. She declares it at the border and I have never been charged those exhorbitant duty fees when it is brought over that way. I once ordered $60 worth of brushes and paint from SF. It took six weeks. It was almost $30 in shipping for a box as big as a brick and very light. Canada Duty & Customs charged $50 in duty.

The Face Paint Forum gets my package to my aunt in two or three days. It is always packaged correctly, with a normal amount of cushioning material, not five times as much stuff to push the shipping charges into an astronomical rate.
If I could order our new car through Metina, I would do it in a heartbeat.

If you can get to Toronto..... Kryolan has a new store in the Complections store (at the new location) -- just called one of my Toronto suppliers to ask if they had the starblends and they told me....

I'm pretty sure my local costume shop sells starblends (in BC). Is it possible you have one near you that does and just don't realize?

They don't have a website, just an amazing year-round store full of all kinds of fun things. They have a limited selection (nothing like the FPFS) of paints (zero brushes and zero TAG), but enough in a pinch! If I didn't know they were there from before starting to face paint, I would not have thought to look there for starblends, adhesive, paint, etc.
Now, if they would only start carrying Suzy's Glitter Gels...!!

Having said that, I was looking at buying more jewelry trays (from Ontario) and even 1 tray at $3.50 that doesn't weigh much at all will cost $17.00 in shipping to me in BC from Barrie, Ontario. It can't be too much based on weight because 3 more trays only costs an additional $2.00 in shipping. But paying $18 in product and $19 in shipping to me (from within Canada!!!) is a bit odd to me. I emailed them to double check and they said it's correct shipping, calculated by Canada Post. Odd. I pay less for things from Metina! Mind you, the size of the box is a bit smaller...

@ 1happynut: are the jewelry trays for jewelry, or for putting your paints in? I keep seeing people with their paints in square holed trays and wondering wtf....anyone?

Yes, and here:

I found that I really like the way everything is laid out for me in the tray also (besides the paint). I love that they stack. I thought I'd grab a couple more for parts of my kit I want to keep in the trays for ease and fast setup. But because I want to mix and match sizes (depths), I can't go through the same company I got them through originally. It looks like they are only selling them in batches of 6 and they all have to be the same size.
I will keep looking though, or come up with something else. It's always a work in progress it seems!

I have a white pink and purple that I have used maybe once, never liked them. If you are still looking for starblends, I can find out what shipping would be. Let me know.
