Face Paints?
I face paint at my job all the time and we have really cheap goopy paint but I really want to do it professionally. I bought wolfe fx face paint and i like it but I wish I could find something that comes out a bit brighter on the skin. Any Ideas?
Re: Face Paints?
Wolfe is more pigmented than any of the other brands. If your Wolfe isn't bright, you're using too much water or not picking up enough paint.
Re: Face Paints?
Maybe thats it I just figured since Im darker skinned the color just doesnt look as vivid on me. I was hoping there was something brighter. When I was at disney the other day the face painter told me that they use Kryolan and it was so bright but I wasnt sure if it was worth the money.
Re: Face Paints?
My husband is black and has very dark skin. Wolfe is vibrant even on him. Pastels and lighter colors always look nicer on dark skin. Play with the consistency and the lighter colors and you should start getting what you're looking for. Kryolan is a nice paint, but I prefer Wolfe because it can be used for bases and lines, but Kryolan doesn't make nice lines, just bases.

The Wolfe neon rainbow really pops on darker skin!

Welcome to the forum!
You could also look into buying some TAG colours at the forum shop - I love them for bases! I had a whole kit of Wolfe but I switched it out for TAG. I am in love with the TAG Pearls... they are beautiful, shimmery and opaque.
Make sure to really work the paint into the brush when you're painting. You'll want to mix in a bit of water until the paint is kind of creamy.

Dont quote me to be sure, but for instance if you have a yellow undertone on your skin, paints that have yellow tones like gold and yellow will not stand out, you should perhaps use say a bright blue or hot pink or something and it will look stunning!

Re: Face Paints?
At Disney they also use Wolfe. Kryolan depending on the colors can be very rich and vibrant. I suggest if you already have Wolfe go for Wolfe Neons and Metallix.
