4th of July Contest on my Youtube channel...

Fellow FPF members. You've already got on of the steps done for this contest, you are a member of the Face Paint Forum!

I'm holding a contest, with Metina's help, to gather quick 4th of July face painting design tutorials. You don't have to have a live video, you can have a slide show with descriptions.

Please enter the contest and if you need help, PM me and let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I was able to catch a free faba live class and I think it was all 4th of july painting. I snap shot the finished products if you would like me to e mail them to you. I cant remember who did them do, I think it was either Heather or Marcella.

it was marcela..and that was last years 4th of july free class..I watched it again last week..she is truely amazing...

Vegas mom, I've had FABAtv and watched Marcela's class. I want some designs from YOU guys. I've got a little description in the comments area about making a video. The first time I tried to enter a contest I had to do a slideshow because there was NO WAY I was painting on camera.

You can see my slideshow I did for Clayton's eye design contest, it's the hummingbird and the greedy pirates...my first videos. That's all I'm expecting...just some kind of tutorial, either video or slideshow with description.

I hope you guys do it. I think it will be fun to try each others designs.

oopsy! I did three designs..ahum...but when filming the last video I noticed my camera was out of focus and all blurry...but i left it the way it was ..there are pictures at the end that are sharp.. I'm just a silly video noob...

Got it. The fuzzies weren't that bad, I didn't think about it until the end. Thanks for entering.

Grr. I made a video and it's in MOV format, and I can't figure out how to convert it. I have downloaded two different free programs trying to make it importable to Windows Movie Maker, but it just won't work.
I hate to give up, but I think I'm going to have to make a picture video to submit.

can't you convert it with http://www.mediaconverter.org/ ? they support mov extention..you can convert it to avi and then import to windows movie maker

The YouTube Downloader program is also free and easily converts for YouTube.

I was able to convert them to AVI, but my movie maker won't let me import them, for some reason. Says I have to verify my windows program. But I bought my computer second hand with windows already installed. I have no way to verify.
YouTube downloader looks like it allows you to download FROM YouTube. Not upload TO YouTube.
Or maybe it's just that I am so computer incompetent.

Well, it wasn't easy, and I had to download a couple things, but I did it! I tried to attach it as a video response, but I can't see it. not sure if you have it set so that responses have to be moderated, or something, but my Youtube name is dianethomas01.

Go down a bit to the comments section for the Video Response section and hit "see all". I've picked my favorites from each painter to put on my board but I'm waiting a bit for Metina's input to announce the winning designs. I think rather than make a new video, I'll announce in this thread and add the link in the video comments.
