LOVE getting the credit!
I was at a festival this past weekend and was so happy to see that they posted on their website and facebook page that I would be there. http://www.panolacounty.com/springfest-kids-corner
I'm not local to the festival, so it won't help my party bookings, but it sure looks good on the ole resume!
Hope they post pics in the local newspaper soon. They were taking lots of them.

Cool! The more you get mentioned on other's websites, the better it is for yours!
Other than word-of-mouth or onsite exposure, most of my bookings come from my website. How about you?

Really? That's awesome! I suck at the social media thing. I cannot keep up with it. I cannot keep track of it. I cannot find my sunglasses. Where is my coffee cup?
Seriously. This new media era is aging me.

lol..I know what you mean Manja, I am not very social media savvy and my husband bugs me about it all the time...It doesn't really interest me either so likey it won't change too quickly. I have a face book page but don't really do anything with it...
Re: LOVE getting the credit!
Manja, I am not that "social media capable" either... but I was still looking for the "Like" button for your post Love that!

LOL! What makes it worse is that my husband works for Google. And you have no idea the pressure I get, you guys! People assume that if I'm married to a computer geek it must rub off on me or something. Well, it doesn't work that way. If it did, then the opposite would be true as well and he would be able to feed himself whenever I wasn't home, right? As it is, the man practically starves himself to death when I"m not there to feed him, just as I would be completely disconnected from the world of social media if he wasn't around to keep me "plugged-in". It's that pathetic on both ends.
It's a good thing opposites attract or we'd both be dead in the water!

My hubby doesn't work for Google, but he is a web application developer and he does travel the country to speak at conferences about it and train others (remind you of any FP's we know?). My website hasn't been updated in AGES, because he hasn't completed the simple user interface that allows me to upload my own changes! I don't write code, so I'm like the cobbler's children who have no new shoes! Now he wants me to design the artwork for a Windows phone game that he wants to write. Sigh. Hmmmmm, no website GUI, no artwork!

LOL Becky! At least now you have some leverage The ball is in his court!
Re: LOVE getting the credit!
I use my facebook page to interact with other local pages. You can type in your area in the search bar on facebook and it should bring up local pages of interest. You can like them using your facebook page, then interact. I don't spam, but if they post something I find interesting and relevant, I will respond as my page. Or if I have photos from a local event, I will share the photo and a short message about the event on that events page.
I have found it is a good way to spread the word about my business.

Should also say it is fantastic that you were given credit, rthling.
I love when the papers come around and get pictures, but rarely do they add my info! Usually just the childs name.
