"I'll call you"
At a festival yesterday, I was painting a cute little 6 or 7 year old girl who had picked up one of my cards. while I was getting my brush loaded and during the design, she proceeded to ask me a million "mom-like" questions.... "what kind of paint do you use, is it safe, do you do birthday parties, do you know where ___ street is, ...and a million more, and finally... "ok, I'll call you". I could hardly keep a straight face.

Precious! Who knows, she may just call you! If it had been a boy, well... we all know boys NEVER call when they say they will.
Re: "I'll call you"
I did actually have a kid call me once and almost booked the party himself.... until I said, ok can I talk to your mom now?
Re: "I'll call you"
Perry, that happened to me last Summer. A little girl took my card and by jolly she called that evening with time and place and was ready to book , I asked to talk to mom or dad, she excitedly said "hang on I'll get them". They had no idea she had been talking to me and unfortunately were not as enthusiastic as the child about booking a party,LOL
Re: "I'll call you"
the funny thing with the kid that called me was that yes, he was supposed to book the party, his mother didn't speak english so I booked it with his aunt
Re: "I'll call you"
LOL... love those kids!
I had a call once... years ago I was playing Cinderalla's Fairy Godmother in the Christimas Pantomime and I was one of the characters who interacted with the audience and there was this bit where I was talking to them about opening a beauty school, then went out into the audience and sat on a likely looking guy's lap (well, the arm of the seat and I wouldn't do that to someone!) and hand his wife my card, telling her to "call me"... And I gve her my REAL card!
Next day there was a messsage from their two little girls on my voice mail telling me that I was very beautiful and not to be upset because people laughed at me.
I saved that on my voice mail for YEARS! LOL

Re: "I'll call you"
I painted this little "live wire" on saturday. notice the harness the mom has him in. he was all over the place and quite a hand full UNTIL he sat down in my chair. Then, he never moved a muscle and stared straight at me the whole time. I don't think I've ever had a little boy his age be so still. His mom was in amazement. (Hoping I get a birthday party gig out of it, lol).
