Advertising in CanadaHas

Anyone from Canada know what the rules are on advertising Body Painting? Going to be putting a Coupon in a big coupon booklet and want to be sure I am not breaking any laws. Trying to read the info on line but can't find what I am looking for. Help please!

Dee, you will have to check with aglc sections 5.11. They have now grouped burlesque and body painting in with exotic dancing and they are all considered nude displays and shows. They introduced the new mandates last spring and have been handing out fines this spring. Just to arm yourself with more information

What she said. A good friend in an inspector for AGLC... she's my go-to on all things. But that is related to licensed establishments.

Body painting - private or non-licensed events is different. But CHECK your local jurisdiction - Alberta is different than other provinces and there may even be city by-laws in your town.

Thanks for the info Criss and Shannon. I will have a look at it when I get a chance. I won't be doing live body painting at a show or anything but I want to put the picture your see in my avatar on my Coupon. I certainly don't want a big fat fine for it!

I know that you are not allowed to have nude bodies and alcohol in the same room.
Generally wearing underwear and covering the nipples was enough to skirt by this one. It may have changed though
