Has anyone else used these daubers?

I ordered something just like these, they are round sponges with a denser foam handle so you can grip them and flip around for another color app or blending. They cost about $6 for a pair and come in two or three sizes, perfect for animal muzzles.

I haven't had such luck. Last job (at Easter) where we used them - all were new, and over half the sponges came off the sticks so I chucked them. Some have stayed together, but, they need to be kept out of the "soaking" bucket and then given personal attention to wash.

These cylindar sponges can just go in with the general population for cleaning.
