So I need help naming all of the books and dvd's on the market. Then we will work on getting opinions and ratings from many painters. This will help up be as educated as possible on what is out there.

Love her books! I have like 6 of them!

For extreme beginners there is a face painting book from Klutz.com that comes with a palete of Wolfe paint. It's really great, we use it for out beginning 4-H clowns to teach them face painting.

I wish we could place some of our most favoritistic (new word!) posts into a folder that we can refer to!! I LOVE these favorite books/DVD posts! SO informative ... but sometimes, I lose my favorites in the shuffle of all things glorious and colorful.

Brian Wolfe talked about their upcoming book. He mentioned that a dvd would be included, though I don't see it listed with in on Amazon.

I got the Fairy Princesses by Marcela Murad and I was not happy with it at all!! Pics were not all that good, and the pages were small. I also did not like the way directions were given, she does not explain things very well, not that you would really need her to, all the designs i thought were very basic, and I learned nothing new from this book. It would prob. be good for someone who is just starting out, but not for someone looking to excell from the basics.

I was very frusted by a HUGE oversight on this book. They didn't include the step by steps for the cover photo! This was the main reason I wanted it. And since you really can't look inside online, I had no way of knowing.

By now, I have figured it out on my own, but as a new painter three years ago, I was almost in tears. The illustrations were very thin. Why couldn't they have just taken the photos while they were doing it? We do it all the time!

The newest DVD by Heather has a similar issue. "Follow the Rainbow"
There is a face on the cover of the DVD that I actually bought the DVD for.....It's the biggest photo on the cover. Looks like it was done in powders and white Wolfe.
Well, it isn't even done on the entire DVD......

I totally agree with you, The cover is the nicest pic in the whole book and the reason i purchased it as well. They should just take pics instead of doing weak drawings that dont really show you anything. I dont think I will be buying anymore of her books anytime soon

I was wanting that Princesses book! Thanks for letting me know before I spent my money. I have a princess party coming up and I wanted a few different designs so all the girls wouldn't look alike. Oh well... I'll have to come up with some things on my own!

spuiggle, you would be better off asking all of us to put up princess masks on a new post, trust me!! Use lots of flowers and hearts, swirls and teardrops, rainbows and dots. they will love whatever you do!
