Need Help with Photo Board

I've seen it done where you make the photo look like it's a poloroid and they add text on the bottom white part. I don't have "photoshop" on my computer. Does anyone know of a website where I can do this?

It is probably a "frame" option. Scrapbooking photo programs have stuff like that.

I just use Microsoft powerpoint to do mine. It's much easier to understand than photoshop.

Until April 19th you can use Piknik.com, but they've announced they are closing. I use the poloroid look too, and they do have a frame for it. I'm searching for a suitable replacement for Piknik when it closes.

in the search I would type free photo software, I think Gimp is one.

Yeah, but Gimp has a fairly large learning curve, if you're looking for crop, click, click, save, DONE...I'd recommend something else. It all depends on how computer literate you are or (as in my case) how lazy you are . Ok maybe I'm not lazy, just don't have that much time/patience to spend on editing photos.

If all your photos are the same size, I can easily apply a white polaroid frame around them in photoshop using a batch process. If that's the case, just let me know and I can do it for you. If they each need to be cropped or text added, it would take a lot more time... but I could still do it, I'd just have to charge you a bit for it.

Adding TEXT to a picture can be done right at WALMART.....and if you sign up they send coupons for 10 cents a photo...text is not extra.

This. Picnik has this and a lot of photo options but you would have to hurry because as she said April 19th they are closing.

I know you don't have Photoshop, but if you're close to a major city you can always look for an art college student that would do it for fairly cheap. Beyond you getting great art in return, they get piece they can eventually put towards a portfolio. I practically survived my first year of college on $5 and $10 mini jobs like these.

I would recommend Gimp. It's free and you can look at the tutorials to help you. I think that is as much good as photoshop !

I use picasa. It is free to download and very easy. You can crop and write on your pictures!

The question would be are you printing them yourself or will you use an outside source..I find I like using Walmart since when I am doing my photos I always get a crowd and I hand biz cards out....and if one of the pics looks really good I order a bigger size for the portfolio book...My printer is a good printer for pics but I just find it is cheaper to hit up old Wallymart.
