Extra charge for holidays?

Hey everyone, just wondering if you charge extra during holiday periods or do you stay with the same rate all year round? Thanks!

Are your operating costs higher over the holiday periods?

My rates are my rates, because a gig is a gig.

My rate is my rate. However, for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve if someone wanted to book me it would be for a higher rate to compensate me for missing family time.

If they want FX makeup for Halloween we charge extra. Liquid latex and the different kinds of blood aren't cheap.

I gotta agree!

I don't charge extra for the gig, however, my mini-parties and my 'discount party package' isn't available during weekends during December or during certain times of the year.

Thanks guys, have to agree with all of you! I don't charge extra for holidays either, but have had quite a few people ask me if I do and I thought I would post the question here to see what thoughts the rest of you have! I did a New Years Eve gig end of last year but didn't charge extra. However, they tipped me very nicely for the work I did. It was really nice they appreciated that I could have been home with family and was with them instead.
