LOVE snaz sparkle pink. Absolutely great color. I switched away from snaz to a mixture of primarily paradise with some wolfe and Kyrolan "special" colors thrown in for good measure, but I'll probably always keep my snaz sparkle pink and electric blue.

I think it gives a nice sheer coverage, but to get it really opaque, you would need two applications. It is not something I regularly have in my kit. The formulas may have changed since I first used it two years ago, but I traded mine to something more potent and opaque like the DFX metallic red. It should really be named fushia(Wolfe changed theirs to "Rose") It covers like a dream.

Here is a photo sample of the DFX Red.

I used to have Snaz sparkle pink in my kit, used it for cheeks on princesses and butterflies and stuff... I don't have it anymore because I use powder for princesses cheeks.. but I liked it when I had it!

Cute! The paint looks like it covers well! I will have to try it some time!

I bought the Ben Ny Lumiere powder and have found it very messy and difficult to get an even application. Pressed powder would have been better. Do you have any tips for using the loose powders?

Loose powders... I set out in a plastic tray (so they don't get knocked over or spilll) with the lids off beside the pot. I then dip the applicator (might be a eyeshadow applicator OR a soft brush depending how big an area I want to apply to) to the powder LIGHTLY, then tap in the lid to remove the excess loose powder. Then apply where I want it... basically pressing the powder into the spot gently and then spreading with a light pressure.

If I am applying as a base I will use a small blush brush, loaded the same way... just use a "bigger" motion to apply by dusting over the area I want it.

Here are examples of using powders:

I'll give it another shot using a variety of tools. I like how they look. Maybe I'll find something that works for me. Thanks Shannon... BTW, I really like that picture of you second to last on bottom.

Shannon... how do you keep within Alberta's hygiene guidelines with powder? Only use 1 dry brush per face/color? Q-tips (I think I saw somewhere that you have a few q-tips kicking around lol)

I use a white cosmetic sponge, they are kinda tacky and hold the powder well. Dip it in the powder, apply, then dispose or wash.

Those do work well!!

I have a bunch of little blush brushes from retail blushes, and a whole whack of foam tipped applicators... Just set aside used ones to wash later. I don't typically get enough requests for the designs I use the powders for on any one job that I use them all up.

And, yes, I always have my tin of q-tips handy!!
