Would you refund the money?

As FP is a hobby for me and I never charge for my painting, I've never been in a "trouble" like that but I'd like to know: If you paint a little boy and he has an immediate skin reaction and his parents have to remove the paint from his face, WOULD YOU REFUND THE MONEY? Do you usually return the money in any other situation?

I've never had it happen. But if he really did have a reaction and had to wipe it off right then and there, definitely no charge.

I would. I couldn't imagine charging for something that caused a reaction. I also haven't had it happen.

Not long ago when i watching a lady painting at a local show she had one boy sit down in front of her with no idea what he wanted and really not that keen on a painting in the first place except for his parents pushing him into it. he finally decided that he would get some flames. about 3 strokes in he decided that's all was going to get and not a stroke more. the painter was mortified that he was walking away with what he had and told the parents - that's not i $4 face take your money back. the parents refused and the kid walked away happy.

Now, I have had that happen. . . A little girl wanted to get painted, and then decided she didn't much like it - it was just on her cheek. I offered to give the money back and they said no. I did tell them, if she changed her mind to bring her back and I would finish it.

I would definitely refund if there was a reaction and the paint had to be wiped away. With PPF, it's not enough money to be too concerned about.

My theory for any question like this, "what would I want/expect if it was my kid in the chair?". No charge, for sure.

Had a situation similar to others...Sponged in a tiger face but when I went to brush the black he refused. His grandma tried to talk him into it but he wouldn't and was very happy with his sort-of tiger face.

I gave her $5 of the $8 back.

I think it's a no-brainer . . . agree with everyone else - I would refund the money & give him/her a free balloon animal - poor baby!
