Re: Post Here!
Products used: Wolfe Black, White, Brown, Paradise yellow, Orange.
#4 round brush, liner brush and video game playing husband.
Step 1. base coat and outline for wolf face
Step 2. Detail of wolf
Step 3. Tribal design - go with your gut on placement.
Step 4. Attempt to take a good picture and end up with something that is not as good as the real thing
Step 5. Cry when you have to wash it off.
BTW- had to cover up my husbands existing upper back tattoo. That is why there is a funky color on the upper part of the painting.

Re: Post Here!
Would anyone like to see some tribals of animals? I have a few but I won't post them if they won't be useful to anyone.
Re: Post Here!
Hmm, voting is gonna be difficult. How can I possibly choose between the eagle and the wolf?!
Ditto on the tribal animals, Ashley - please do post

Re: Post Here!
Ok here goes my first every compertition entery as well as first try at tribal, so any tips/advice greatly received !!
I used Snazaroo black and a No 2 round brush.
First I painted the turtles body (although i think it looks like a mole) then I added legs, flowers and some tribal lines.

Sorry I have not done a slide show, but the website you recommend has been down for maintanence since yesterday.

Re: Post Here!
Tribal Sagittarian Sign, which is also a fire sign. (yes, this is my star sign) Imageloop still down for maintenance....gave up waiting.
Products used: D/ FX (the real stuff ) Red, Black & White. TAG Pansy Cake & a home made split. Liquid bling in gold and silver. Filbet brush, and number 4 & 2 round brush. oops, and a small flat brush No 6.
Using Pansy split, sponge on an oval/eye shape.
Used home made split and small flat brush to create flame around the oval shape.
Outline the flame in black and use a dry filbet brush to drag some black down for depth/shading.
Add tribal look sagittarian sign.
To finish, add some red flick flames inside and outside the original flame. White highlights in the flame. Tribal finishes around the flame design. Gold liquid bling inside the flames and silver liquid bling on the arches bow and arrow.

Re: Post Here!
No step by step, i made this one a while ago for a fotoshoot. she still had to change clothes for the shoot...
In the front it has the name of the company worked into it. and worked around that.
This purple is the colour of the company sign. it's the purple metalic from party xplosion and a number 4 Royal Majestic Brush.
hope you guys like this one...
take care love jantien

Re: Post Here!
Alright... here is my Tribal eye design.
I was inspired to try something tridal around the eyes after watching FABA TV, I think it boosted my confidence in the style of line work. Here is my very own design.....
Paints used:
TAG Unicorn split cake
Wolfe Black
Blue GlitterMark
Sponge
And a Small flat brush.
Step 1: Picking up just the teal of the split cake, I sponged over the eyelids.
Step 2: Now Picking up the the whole unicorn split I sponged up and out, almost forming a butterfly shape. Making sure I keep the purple at the top, I had to load the sponge 2 different ways.
Step 3: Start the think think think brush strokes all heading toward a similiar spot. Making sure I leave space between the lines, which I will occasionally connect.
Step 4 and 5: Continue the tribal markings (using the wolfe black and small flat brush) until you have desired amount of lines. Make sure you don't over croud or you will loose the effect of the design, but making sure enough is filled in to keep it balanced.
Step 6: As an additional extra (which looked a million times better in berson than on film!!! ) Highlight the black marking with some blue glitter mark. I created my imaginary light source from the to and just lined the ares the imaginary light source would hit.
