I tried to explain to them that I am NOT in the Harley Davidson family, I am a housewife who loves to paint and make kids smile, but no dice. Had the same thing happen at a 4th of July celebration, and they wanted $350 for 1 day.... sheesh! Passed on them both...

I am gob smacked. Surely no one painted at these events??

I couldn't believe that they expected me to paint for free! I was happy to pay for the booth but then they wanted to charge me for a "business booth". Needless to say I declined the offer and had to really bite my tongue because I trully wanted to let them know where they could shove their 'offer'!

Tell them they're dreaming!!! What a joke. Thanks but no thanks.
Gosh can't believe how worked up about that one I am, my blood is boiling, grrrrrrrr!!!!!
Good girl for saying NO, you rock Very Happy

Yup - I can beat that - One kids music festival wanted $550 for one day.
And local festival wanted $770 for one day!!!...... I don't even make that much in a day by myself.
$80 a day is the norm here for a market.... $130 a day for a festival is reasonable - I have paid $180.00 but everyone else was paying $360 so I think if I can get half off it's usually a good deal.
I have a festival who is charging me nothing to set up every weekend but has limited how much I can charge.... this serario seems to keep everyone happy.
ARGGGGHHHH booth fees do my head in.

I pass on the expensive booth fees. $70 - $100 is my max & only if I know it's a super large event or multiple day event.
BTW Toni, you may not remember me, but welcome back!!!!
