Another way to use Facebook to market...

So now you can use your business page to "be" on facebook. This is what I did: I have my business page (which I have "suggested" to ALL of my friends). I changed my avatar to be something eye-catching. If you go to your business page, look on the right side where it says "use facebook as..." and click it. Then I went on some local pages (the local news station, a hotel, photographers I know, local ice cream parlor, movie theater) and made comments or asked questions on their pages as "Faces by Gina" That should show up on all of the group or page fans' walls with my hopefully-eye-catching-enough avatar and they can just click on my "name" to see my page profile. I'm thinking it should get to a bunch of local people that I don't already know.

When you want to change back, just go back to the business profile page and click "use facebook as [your name]"

Just did it with my restaurant, I posted on Brundage Mountain Resort page and it came up as Steamers Steak & Seafood Restaurant!! Gina that is fantastic.

Hi this is what ive just done but whem I go to a page to join there is no link to join when im under my buisness page , how have you got round this and are able to join, comment etc as your buisness and not your personal page .

Gabrielle, I posted to your other post about this problem, but reposting so others can see. You cannot join a group as a page. You can comment on other pages, but not on someone's personal account timeline. Some people get around this by creating a personal account using their business name. Technically, this is against facebook's terms of service, but I don't know how closely they police it.
