Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Ok, just got back from Home Depot, I bought the FATMAX!!!!!
Still in the trunk of my car, fits perfectly standing up (I drive a minivan)
So it was funny how the guy at home depot was "showing me how to open it" he didn't know I have been reading about it and had some clue, at least more than him LOL
BTW, I don't think I have enough stuff to fill 1/2 of the thing. I guess that is a good thing since it is on the heavy side.

Yeah, I don't fill mine up Maggie. I just take what I need. It keeps it nice and light, which I like.

If your Canadian, the fatmax is on sale at Canadian Tire $85;

LOL at fatmax envy and all this talk over a tool case....lolol Have we become just as bad as men how the glorify their "man" tools???? I admit I raved too about it. But it just hit me how we woman think men are loopy for getting excited over power tools and here we are all a glow over the Fatmax........if they could see us now....lolol
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
LOL, I know...what's even funnier is, that when my hubbie saw me checking it out at HomeDepot and saw how excited I got because it was on sale at $69 instead of the regular $99, he bought it for me!!! Yeah me!! Ever notice how the guys get even more excited when the ladies "speak tools" (or cars, or football!!), if you know what I mean??? LOL.... almost too easy...
Yeah, Maggie!! Have fun filling it!!
BTW, Changing, love the new dooo! Way pretty!!!

Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
there was one xmas where I got a sewing machine and a rotary tool the same time and I was just as geeked about both of them.... yeah, I'm weird like that.
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Hee, hee....I got a rotary tool the same way.... who says girls can't get ramped up over tools??? LOL
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Yes, got it about a month ago. It's a lot bigger than I thought and holds EVERYTHING together in one spot. LUV IT!!
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Hahaha, yeah any time I get interested in something, my husband wants to buy me tools so I can "do the job right". I love that man.
HE was the one who pointed out to ME when the FatMax went on sale last summer!!

Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Yay to all the new FATMAX owners. I was so lucky & my hubby gave me one for christmas as a surprise. We were out watching our boys ride their ATV's - Quadbikes that they got for christmas & hubby goes off and comes back with this giant pressie for me. When he put it on the table I had a feel from the outside & felt the wheels & thought it was a new laundry trolley (as i really needed a new one). Wow was I delighted when I opened it up to find my very own FATMAX which I call Maxy. I love it fits everything I want even my step for the kids to stand on so they can get into my directors chair & the cushion that I put on my directors chair so the littler ones sit more forward for me. I can even attach my directors chair to it with a occie strap (not sure how to spell it) so I just do ONE trip to my gigs. I'll take some pics of mine, set up.
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Mandy, I am loving the name you gave it! I am going to have to name mine now
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Since Mandi play off the max pary with "maxi" I am gonna name mine "Fattima"
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
OMG @ Maggie every time I blink your number of posts seems to grown exponentially lololol.........your about to pass me
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
I know! Maggie joined after me and she's at Genius status while I'm way down at apprentice! LoL.
I find myself filling my fatmax with so much stuff then struggling to get it into my suv. Any advice?

I always make sure to bend my knees and grab it round the middle and lift with my knees before heaving it into the trunk of my little car.
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Ok, Someone in here must be logging and posting for me, Who is it? You better come clean now! This is the only logical explanation.
My husband just told me the other day "you are addicted to that page" LOL
Love this place, I have never painted and learned so much in such of short amount of time and meeting you all is an added bonus!

Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?
Thank you CC for the kindness of the compliment. I probably won't straighten it out again until my B-day in April. I only do it a couple of times during the year.
Re: Is this the fatmax everyone uses?

I'm coming in on this one a little late, but wanted to say, don't keep your water on the top level. I keep it in the cubby nearest to me. This way, if it spills it only goes into that cubby. You don't want your water getting spilled off the top level into everything below.
My take on the fatmax is, keep it light & only carry what you need. It can get pretty heavy. I've cut out all the extras that I don't use. I love my fatmax! I don't have to deal with stairs(Florida doesn't have basements). On the few occasions I've hauled it up them(not fun). I usually get help from someone(like the dad) if I have to carry it far & can't roll it. I walked 4 city blocks with it a few weeks ago & the fatmax was easy to maneuver(now my awful wooden directors chair kept 1/2 opening ). That's getting replaced soon with a sturdier one.
