Midwest face painters

Just wondering which midwestern face painters would like to get to gether and have our own jam, we don't seam to have any action here in wisconsin..all the conventions are so far away and by the time your get your flight and hotel plus your meals and then the cost of the conventions which by the way always seam so reasonable..you spend close to 1000.00.
Really looking to learn from great painters please help us in the midwest..

I'm in Texas. Would love to jam, but don't know of anyone near by.

I was just thinking about this. In St. Louis, I never hear of anything going on....so anyone who is close...

Bec, if we met in the middle, it would still be a ten hour drive for each of us. And if I met with any of you guys in Wisconsin, it would be around 13 hour drive for each of us. That isn't going to be possible for me with my two little ones. Hopefully you guys will be able to meet up. There's nothing like being able to get together and jam!

I believe that there are a few of us in the Chicago area?
I have always been jealous of other groups that get together!

I live in southeast Iowa, and there is NOBODY around here to paint with. Maybe something in the Spring perhaps, but as for right now, we are expecting 6" of snow tonight, and more snow everyother day for the next 2 weeks

Peggy, Painted Dragon is in SE Iowa... I don't get to that side of the state often, but if you ever come to Omaha, I would love to get together! There are a bunch of us here who network together, but we don't jam very often. One of these days =)

I would not know the first thing about hosting a jam...was hoping one of you would..annette how far are you from lacrosse.. I know suzie sparkles is in Wisconsin.. and a few others...

I could host a jam. I would need a little time to prepare and such. Maybe we could have it in the beginning of march. Does that sound good to you? Maybe we could have a pro there teaching us things... We would have to pay then for their time

I'm not too far from Sparkles. Midway point between us and Lacrosse would probably be Madison.

I would be willing to come south..and suzy i would be willing to pay a pro i think there are 6 of us here in wisconsin..and a few in iowa and chicago..how many would we need to get a pro here.

suzy we would understand you would need time to set things up. and the weather right now is to bad.. maybe in the spring..keep me posted on your thoughts and thank you so much..

There are two face painting jams each month in the Chicago area... One is in Schaumburg and one is in St. Charles. The one in Schaumburg is every second Tuesday at 6pm. The one in St. Charles is at 11:30am.

I have not gone to the Schaumburg one... mostly because rush hour is horrible to deal with. I went to the first one in St. Charles, but not the last two because of weather and getting sick.

So... there is one this tuesday and one next week. I'll be going to the one in St. Charles. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll have Mirae get in touch with you. Oh... or Denise if you want the one in Schaumburg.

If you go to Memberlist, then type in the search field "Painted Dragon" (no quotes). She has a purple bat mask as her avatar. If you find the thread for the Tag 3 game, I think she's commented on there as well.

Where are you at? I have a Stampin' Up friend in Burlington. My SIL is from Bettendorf and they live a few miles from the quads on the IL side.

peggy the initial post was about face painters in the midwest..we have no conventions here ..hopeing some one can set up a week end jam or convention

I'm only 3 hrs away from chicago, but a weeknight is hard cause of the day job. About a year ago I suggested the Midwest FacePaint Forum Convention, but Metina didn't bite
