Have you looked at the threads about the Stanley Fat Max? I love mine and you'll find it also works as a small table.

For small gigs/parties I carry my "on the go kit" in a shoulder bag exactly like the one Metina has in her shop. This kit is just a scaled down version of my working kit.

For larger jobs I will bring my full working kit which is housed in my Fat Max.

I use a purple and black metal make-up case which I love... but most make-up cases won't hold a pallet. I have a special backpack for my pallets.
There is a large rolling metal make-up case you can buy that splits off into sections and opens up in steps... but it's like $300 or more so it depends what you want to spend. I don't like the fatmax, mainly because it looks like a plastic tool box... which it is... and because I don't like to be hampered when I hit a flight of stairs.... which is alot.
If you would like to look at the cases I use and the big ones I can't afford let me know and I'll send you a link.
You can get amazing ones now that open with mirrors and lights etc.

There is this site www.plasticase.com and we bought a portfolio case from there (actually you get your first "sample" for free). It came with customizable foam, and we just put velcro on the bottom and secured our paints that way. It is deep enough to have our paints on one side and our brushes, glitter, collapsible water container, misc. stuff on the other. I really like it so far. The Fat Max is also an awesome system, I just pack light because I hate anything heavy, lol!

They did charge shipping, but it was totally reasonable, I think they are out of Canada.

I use a wheeled 2 rifle case, bought from Bass Pro sporting goods ($99), that I have customized with workout foam mats from Walmart (about $12), and have the paint secured w/velcro---and a "Cheap Joe's" brush holder ($5) on the top for my brushes. It's the best system I have come up w/--a bit bulky sometimes, but I probably have had just as many people pick up my biz card walking by, as from those I have painted. I like it cause I hate taking time packing up, I just have a really hard time saying "no" to the "just a tiny little..." and this I have everything secured, just dump water and close...I have exchanged it 2x now (free of charge) cause the little bumper thingies banged off---cosmetic stuff--but keeps it looking new & professional, as it comes with a store guarantee...

I have been doing the cruise ship thing lately so I've had to really had to compact my kit a great deal. If you have a harbor freight in your area you can go and look through their tool kits, they are wonderful for this kind of thing! They have larger ones and smaller ones. and you can take them hand have them airbrushed or wrapped with your business logo too, Ill add some of the links because if you don't have a harbor freight, you can order from online. I like the cases, because they come with a shoulder strap, they are durable and are well made, and for the price they can't be beat! Here is a Smaller case that opens from the sides. The dimensions are all listed. This is the one I carry I like that it has the space for my brushes, and it is nice and deep. It has space behind the brushes for my mirror as wells as the folder where I keep my photos and Model releases, ect....the straps you see above the screw drivers are are a nylon rubber like that hold the brush handle tops in place, and the foam squares at the bottom are totally removable and you can move them around to suit your needs. (I just take them out) There's also this one or this one if you like. Harbor Freight also sells airbrush machines totally suitable for body painting. If you aren't sure about your airbrushing, what it is you need, how to take care of it, how to clean it or what to buy, This is a great printable PDF to get you started.

Harbor Freights Home Page

If you do have a Harbor Freight in your area Check your Sunday Paper, in the coupons I think its the Smart Source theres ALWAYS a coupon for 20% off any item. Could be worth a look.

I have a rolling tool box from Menards. It has a toolbox on top three pull out drawers and a big pull out for your trash. It is not a fatmax, but works just as good and It was cheaper. I paid $40.00 for it.
