Greetings from Singapore
Hi all,
I consider myself relatively new to this forum. However I've been lurking and found this a fabulous facepainter social website and am happy to be one of the members.
In the small little country where I'm, there isn't many facepainters around and I suppose partly due to the tropical humid weather here, facepainit simply cannot last on young children at the outdoors. Thus, facepainting as a profession isn't a popular job. Most painters are either freelancer or hobbist; and the activity is only best done indoors where air-condition is.
Facepainting for me is a fabulous art that sit in between normal makeup and special effect makeup. Not too boring (that's for sure) and not too extreme. And above all, somehting kids enjoy the most!! Adults too of course.
I join this forum hoping I can make some facepainter friends and learn new technique, products, designs from all you out there.

Re: Greetings from Singapore
Good to have you on board CGee! I'm in the deep south where it is also very hot and humid. We try to stay indoors as much as possible. I just purchased some Starblends in the hope of having it last a bit longer in the heat, but I'm a little scared to use it because it seems not to want to come off at all!

Re: Greetings from Singapore
Welcome and definitely check out the thread where SuzySparkles is experimenting with making her own pressed powders for hot weather events.
Re: Greetings from Singapore
Thanks to all.
@ TheGildedCat - press powder...that sounds like using eyeshadow to "paint". I'll surely check out.
