To Write Love on Her Arms

Hey, I just wanted to let u guys know that the 12 (today) and 13 are "To Write Love On Her Arms" Day. to write love on her arms is an organization that provides help and support for those suffering from addiction, self abuse, depression, eating disorders... ect. check out their website http://www.twloha.com/. They are asking everyone to write The word "Love" on your arms today and tomarrow to help raise awareness for their organization. Here's a quote from their website:
"You were created to love and be loved. You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known. You need to know that your story is important and that you're part of a bigger story. You need to know that your life matters."
It's a really good organization so please show your support!

Wonderful! Everyone should go to their website and click on "vision" scroll down and read the the story titled "to write love in her arms" at the bottom. It's very powerful. This organization is very close to my heart because when I was a teenager I was a cutter. If I would have know about them then, my recovery would have been much easier.

Wow, I never heard of this organization. Good to know about. I have always been involved with AFSP. I lost my father and ex-boyfriend to suicide so I have done a few Out of the Darkness walks. I was going to volunteer face painting for the last walk in my area but I was a little late on that one. Thank you for sharing this organization with us.

P.S. National Survivors of Suicide Day is Saturday, November 20, 2010. There will be local conferences in over 260 cities in 18 different countries on Saturday, November 20th. Also wanted to share a ribbon I painted a few weeks ago for suicide prevention in honor of my father...

I hope more of you will participate and help get the word out! More likely than not there is someone in your life who is suffering from self abusive behavor, depression, or addiction, so let them know that you love them and that there is help and hope! I've painted LOVE on my arm and I'm going out bowling with my friends. If anyone asks what it's all about I can tell them about this organization (and my buisness as well so everyone wins!) maybe I can get the information to someone who really needs it!!!

sorry to hijack the thread... a few people asked me about how i wrote Love in hebrew, I did it earlier in black on my wrist really delicately, and then i did it up my partners arm in larger black to it looked like a full on hebrew tattoo.

Its 4am lol, so it wasnt still on, but ive just had a play at redoing something similar (albeit in the dark with the light from my mobile haha) the letters are so much prettier when done neatly but you get the idea Will post again tmorrow, if i get chance to re-do it

I swear that this is a really good organization, guys. I turned to it when I was younger and my depression got really bad. (:

I have a birthday party gig today and I plan on painting "love" on every woman or girl's arm that is in attendance. I think this is a wonderful thing. I have had a few friends in my lifetime who were into self-mutilation (i.e "cutting"). Thank you so much for letting us know about this. I hope you all feel loved today.
