I have my first two birthday parties booked for later this month (yay!). I am considering sending a questionnaire to each client after the party to get feedback on my services. I'd love to know what went well so that I can improve. I'm just not sure what to ask.

Do you send out a questionnaire or ask for feedback?

I don't, but I always ask if they were satisfied with everything & if I could have done anything better. I've never had a negative response.

what you might want to do is give them your survey at the party before you leave, with the stamp and address already on it so they can just fill it out and send it to you right away. They still might not send it, but I think sending it days after the event, they really won't bother. JMHO. I don't currently ask for feedback but I do send a postcard thanking them for inviting me to their party.

I email new clients a questionnaire a day after the event, max (sometimes that night). I'm at 79 invoices for this year; minus a couple of cancellations and I don't think I started sending them out until March-ish, and no incentive TO send it back, I've got about 10 back, plus some emailed comments.

I do thank them and say bye before I leave, and most are gushing by that time Very Happy; if I have to send someone else out solo, I will do a follow up phone call in lieu of a questionnaire.

I also send out a thank you postcard, addressed to the birthday child(ren).

I have a customer satisfaction survey available on my resources page that you can download and use. Link is in my signature.

I give it to all my clients with their invoice and I do actually get most of them back - mainly because I provide a stamped addressed envelope.

I use a variation of Shannon's questionnaire. It's worked wonderfully as a way to get positive comments that I can share on my website. I've found it works best to give it to the client as I'm leaving. Most seem surprised that I'm asking for feedback. And definitely include the SASE; it makes it so easy for them to return it to you.
