Restaurants question

What is the best way to get into the resaurants? I know, it has been talked about in the past... I figured maybe more feedback since it's been a year since people have talked about it on the post i checked out...

I read about sending a postcard, then calling to set up a meeting with the manager, or coming in on a non-peak time. (what are your thoughts on this?)

I also read someone posting about what to write on the post card,

"Who we are"
"Quote"
"Bullet Points"
