Favourite Boy designs!

I love, love, love painting girls faces because you can use beautiful stencil designs, bright colours, glitter gems, starbursts! all that good stuff... I'm needing some inspiration for some fun boy designs - I tend to always be doing your standard spiderman, tiger, batman, skull ... what are your favourite boy designs to do and how do you keep it exciting? Photos welcome

i think boys are easier than girls, they seem to like dinos and lizards and superheros (oh my).

i like metallic colors for all the lizard skin/scales, superhero costumes, metallic finishes (robot, cyborg, knight) etc.

also dramatic shading and eyebrows, big horns or fangs, flames, etc.

I suck at boys designs too... love those ideas.... I have seen a black mask/spider which from Nick Wolfe (I think) it looks amazing.

Boys like sporty stuff because their dads do. I do a lot of SF giants logos (just an S and an F). Flaming anything = skulls, soccer balls. Dragons are fun. What's frustrating is when the boys think I can only do flowers and fairies (not that I don't love those) and I don't get a chance to practice monsters on them. Or they wait until 10 minutes before my time is up before they figure out I might be cool enough to paint on them.

Little boys around 3 years old are almost all super wiggly, so I mostly stick to stencils for them. They like blues and greens. Most love rainbows but the dads get worried. I have a train they love. I want to get or make a couple more designs. A superman S - they all want to be superheroes.

Another thing I've found about boys is that they rarely let you paint near their eyes so I try to make designs with no paint near the eyes.

I have a cool superhero chair cover for the back of my chair. It has totally bumped up my boy business the past few years. It has cool batman, superman, green lantern and flash on it. I get soo many compliments on it...& all it is is a modified pillow cover I found in a thrift store just before ComicCon one year... it doesn't discourage girls, just opens the boys' minds up...

I LOVE "boys" designs (as long as they aren't spider-man). Gives me a break from butterflies, cats, flowers and princess's lol
